Getting started
Requirements
What Adminline needs, and what it works with.
Requirements
- WordPress 6.5 or later.
- PHP 7.4 or later.
- An administrator account: the menu editor is for people who can manage options.
Adminline doesn't need WooCommerce or any other plugin.
Works with
- Any plugin's menus. Adminline reads the admin menu just before WordPress draws it, after every plugin has added its items (even plugins that add them late), so they can all be edited. WooCommerce's menus, with their order counts, are a good example.
- Count bubbles. The little numbers for pending comments, plugin updates or WooCommerce orders stay on an item when you rename it, and stay up to date.
- Any theme. The admin menu is the same whatever the theme.
- Translations. The editor speaks your site's language once Adminline's translation is installed, and the names you type are yours.
Not covered
- Network Admin on a multisite network has its own menu, which Adminline leaves alone. Each site's admin menu can be edited on that site.
- Roles and capabilities. Adminline decides what the menu shows, not what people are allowed to do. To change a role's capabilities, use a role editor.
