Reordering Stockpool pools
Buy Stockpool's shared stock pools like products, from To reorder to receiving into the pool.
Note
This is part of Supplyline Pro.
Stockpool, Extendiment's shared stock plugin, lets several products draw on one pool of stock: fabric sold by the metre in different products, a part used in several kits. With Supplyline Pro and Stockpool both active, you reorder and receive those pools the same way as products.
Setting up a pool
- Go to Stockpool's pools and edit a pool.
- In the Purchasing box, fill in:
- Supplier, and their Supplier SKU.
- Supplier's price, per unit of the pool (a metre, a piece), in the supplier's currency.
- Reorder point and Reorder quantity, in the pool's unit.
- Minimum order and Pack size, for example rolls of 25 m.
- Save the pool.
The Purchasing box isn't shown for made-to-order kits, which have no stock of their own.
On To reorder
A pool whose stock plus what's on order is at or below its reorder point is listed under its supplier, marked Shared stock, with its unit after the stock. The suggested quantity works like a product's: the reorder quantity, or just enough to get back above the point, raised to the minimum and whole packs.
On purchase orders
Pools go on purchase orders like products, from To reorder, or on a draft with the Shared stock pool… picker under the product search. The line shows the pool's name and unit, for example "Linen (m)", the supplier's SKU and price.
Receiving
Receive a pool line like any other. The units are added to the pool's stock, and Stockpool's history logs them as received from a purchase order, with its number. The landed unit cost becomes the pool's Cost, shown in its Purchasing box (untick Update products' cost prices to keep the old one).
Without Supplyline Pro or Stockpool
The pool lines stay on their purchase orders. Supplyline shows them, with their name, but they can't be received until both plugins are active again; the rest of the purchase order receives as usual.
