Troubleshooting
Labels that don't show, show in the wrong place or on the wrong products, and labels marked "Needs Labelline Pro".
A label doesn't show
- Off: the list's Status column says Off for a draft. Hover the label and click Turn on, or open it and click Publish.
- Shows nowhere: no place is ticked in its Where it shows box.
- The conditions: the Products column says which products get it. With all, a product must meet every condition; switch to any if you meant "either".
- A placeholder with nothing to show: a label with
{discount}or{saving}only shows on products on sale; with{price}, only on products with a price. - The limit: a product shows at most the number of labels set under WooCommerce → Settings → Products → Labels (3 by default). Labels further down the list give way; drag the important ones up. See Priorities and limits.
- A corner ribbon in the same position as another: only the first shows.
- Stockline is active: labels with a stock condition stay off the product page, where Stockline shows the stock line. See Stockline, Discountline and the sale badge.
- The theme: labels go where WooCommerce draws product images (its templates and blocks). A theme or page builder that draws its own product cards won't show them; see Requirements.
- Caching: a page cache can serve a page from before the label was made. Clear it after adding labels.
A label shows on the wrong products
- Check the conditions on the list's Products column.
- Category includes subcategories.
- A variable product counts as on sale when any variation is.
- New counts from the product's publish date. Labels are worked out again within the hour, so a "New" label can stay up to an hour past its last day.
WooCommerce's "Sale!" badge still shows, or is gone
It's hidden only on products that show a Labelline sale label in that place (with the default setting). A "New" label doesn't hide it. Change the setting under WooCommerce → Settings → Products → Labels.
The label covers something
Labels sit on top of the image. Move it to another Position, or increase Distance from the edge. In some themes the product page's zoom button sits in the top right corner; use another corner there, or move the label in a little.
A label says "Needs Labelline Pro" or "Not shown"
The label was made with Labelline Pro: an image or icon label, one of Pro's conditions (best seller, price, stock quantity, rating, dates…), or one of Pro's placeholders ({stock}, {sale_ends}…). Labelline Pro isn't active, so Labelline can't check or fill them in.
Rather than show the label on every product, or print {stock} as it is, Labelline keeps the label with all its settings and leaves it out. Open it to see which part needs Pro. Activate Labelline Pro to bring it back, or remove the Pro condition or placeholder. "Not shown" means the same for a condition that's gone for another reason, for example an attribute that was deleted.
Colours look wrong
Labels take their colours from their own settings, but a theme that styles every span inside product cards can override them. Labelline's classes start with labelline-; add a CSS rule with more specific selectors in your theme if needed.
