Getting started
Requirements
What Wholesaleline needs to run, where it keeps its data, and what it works alongside.
Server and WordPress
| Minimum | |
|---|---|
| WordPress | 6.5 |
| PHP | 7.4 (8.1 or later recommended) |
| WooCommerce | 8.2 |
Where Wholesaleline keeps its data
Wholesaleline adds no database tables. It keeps:
- its settings and customer groups as WordPress options;
- each group as a user role ("Trade", say), which customers get next to their own role, so the Users screen can list and filter them;
- each customer's own prices, tax setting, payment terms and application on their user account;
- each product's group prices and quantities on the product;
- each order's payment terms, due date and payment on the order.
On multisite, every site has its own groups, settings, customer settings and applications.
Works alongside
- The Checkout block and the classic checkout: group prices, quantity rules, the minimum order, payment and shipping methods, tax exemption and Pay on account work in both. So do the Cart block and the classic cart.
- High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS): supported, as is the older posts storage.
- Block themes and classic themes: prices, quantity boxes and hidden prices show in WooCommerce's own templates and blocks, including the product blocks that load their data from the Store API.
- Other Extendiment plugins: Discountline rules can target wholesale customers, Gridline edits group prices in bulk, and Labelline, Optionline and Swatchline Pro respect hidden prices. See Other Extendiment plugins.
- Page caching: Wholesaleline tells page caching plugins not to cache pages that show a customer's own prices.
