Selling to cafés, shops and other businesses next to your retail customers means different prices, pack sizes, minimum orders, tax rules and invoices paid later, and WooCommerce has one price for everyone. Wholesaleline adds customer groups, such as Trade or Wholesale, each with its own prices and rules, so one store serves both. Business customers apply for an account, you approve them into a group, and from then on they see their own prices whenever they log in. Everything is set up under WooCommerce → Wholesale, on the product screen and on each customer's profile.

Customer groups and their prices

  • As many groups as you need, each a percentage off or a fixed price for every product, with prices per category.
  • Each group's own price for a product, and for each variation.
  • Price lists for a single customer, for contract prices, which come before their group's.
  • Show the retail price struck through next to a group's price, or only the group's own price.
  • Show a group its prices with or without tax.
  • Coupons, and Discountline's discounts and tiers, apply on top of a group's price.

Quantities and minimum orders

  • A minimum, maximum and pack size per product for each group: the quantity box starts at the minimum and goes up in packs.
  • A minimum order value per group, checked in the cart and at checkout.
  • Limit the payment and shipping methods each group may use.

Payment terms

  • "Pay on account" at checkout for customers with payment terms: they order now and pay within 30 days, or whatever their account allows.
  • Orders ship straight away, with a due date on the order, in the emails and in the customer's account.
  • An account balance limit per group or customer: an order that goes over it is placed on hold.
  • Record each payment on the order. Customers see their account balance and the orders still to pay, with any that are overdue, under My Account.

Wholesale applications

  • Customers apply from My Account, or visitors from a page of your own, creating their account as they apply.
  • Ask for the company name and, if you like, a tax or VAT number, phone, website and a few words about the business.
  • Approve into a group, or decline with a reason, from the Applications list or the customer's profile. Or approve every application straight away.
  • Emails to you for each application, and to the customer when you approve or decline it.
  • Applicants log in and shop at regular prices while they wait.

Tax exemption

  • Exempt a whole group, or one customer, from tax. Their carts and orders have no tax.

Hidden prices

  • Hide prices, and adding to the cart, from guests, from customers without a group or from chosen groups.
  • They see a link to log in or to apply for a wholesale account instead.
  • Prices are kept out of product blocks, the Store API and the product data search engines read.

Managing customers

  • Put customers in a group from their profile, with a bulk action on the Users screen, or by approving their application.
  • A Wholesale group column on the Users screen, and each group in its role filter.

Works with WooCommerce and other Extendiment plugins

  • The Cart and Checkout blocks and the classic cart and checkout, High-Performance Order Storage, and block and classic themes.
  • Discountline rules can be limited to wholesale customers, retail customers or one group.
  • Gridline edits each group's prices and minimum quantities in bulk.
  • Labelline, Optionline and Swatchline Pro respect hidden prices.

For developers

  • Actions when applications are submitted, approved and declined, when groups are saved or change, and when payments are recorded.
  • Filters for a customer's price, quantity rule and minimum order, hidden prices and their message, tax exemption, who may pay on account, the status of orders on account and which orders count toward the account balance.
  • wholesaleline_loaded fires once Wholesaleline has loaded.
