Troubleshooting

What to check when the date picker doesn't show, no dates are offered, or a slot looks wrong.

The checkout doesn't ask for a date

Check, in this order:

  1. Does the cart ship? Carts with only virtual or downloadable products aren't asked.
  2. Which shipping method is chosen? Local pickup (and the Checkout block's pickup locations) isn't asked in Slotline; that's Slotline Pro's pickup schedule.
  3. Is Delivery dates ticked in WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → Delivery dates?
  4. Is another plugin skipping it? Preorderline, for example, skips the date for pre-orders without a release date.

If it still doesn't show in the Checkout block, edit the Checkout page and make sure the Shipping options (or Shipping method) step is there: the picker sits under it.

"No dates are available right now"

Every date in the booking window is ruled out. Look at:

  • Open days and Closed dates: is any day in the next Book ahead days open?
  • Minimum notice: a long notice with a short Book ahead can leave nothing (e.g. 72 hours' notice and 2 days ahead).
  • Time slots: a date only counts when at least one of its slots starts after the notice. Check the slots' Days.
  • Another plugin's earliest date, e.g. a pre-order released after the booking window.

A slot shows as fully booked, but I don't think it is

Count the orders for that date and slot in WooCommerce → Orders (the Delivery column helps). Pending payment and on-hold orders take a place too; cancel abandoned pending orders to free them. Also check Orders per day: when the day's limit is reached, every slot shows as full.

Times are an hour off

Slotline works in your store's time zone, from Settings → General → Timezone. Choose a city there (e.g. "Los Angeles") rather than a UTC offset, so daylight saving time is handled.

The date doesn't show in emails

Slotline adds it to WooCommerce's order totals. If your emails are customised (a plugin or theme override), check that they still print the order totals table.
