Installing Fieldline Pro

Fieldline Pro is an add-on: it adds more field types, conditional fields and formats to Fieldline, which stays installed and keeps doing everything else. You need both.

Before you start

• WooCommerce and Fieldline 1.0.0 or later, installed and active. If you don't have Fieldline yet, install it from Plugins → Add New Plugin (search for "Fieldline"); see Installation.
• The fieldline-pro.zip file and the license key from your purchase email. Both are in the email Lemon Squeezy sent after you bought Fieldline Pro.

Install and activate

1. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin and click Upload Plugin at the top.
2. Choose fieldline-pro.zip and click Install Now.
3. Click Activate Plugin.

WordPress won't activate Fieldline Pro while Fieldline or WooCommerce is inactive; it lists what's missing instead. Activate those first.

Enter your license key

Back on the Plugins screen, there's a box under Fieldline Pro:

1. Paste the license key from your purchase email.
2. Click Activate.

The box turns green and shows the end of your key and, for a yearly license, the date your updates run until. The key activates Fieldline Pro on this site only; see Licenses and updates for moving it to another site.

Check it works

Go to WooCommerce → Checkout Fields and click Add field:

• the Type list now has radio buttons, date, number, email and phone,
• a text field has Format and Maximum length rows,
• and below the field's settings there's a When to show it section.

While Fieldline Pro isn't active

Fields of Fieldline Pro's types and fields with conditions stay saved, with their settings. Fieldline leaves them out of checkout and marks them "Not shown at checkout" in the list. As soon as Fieldline Pro is active again, they're back exactly as they were, with nothing to re-enter. Customers' answers on past orders are never touched.
