# Installation - Wholesaleline 1.x documentation

> Install Wholesaleline from your purchase, activate the license and set up your first customer group in a few minutes.

Wholesaleline comes as a zip file with your purchase from extendiment.com.

## Install the plugin

1. Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active. Wholesaleline won't activate without it.
2. Download `wholesaleline.zip` from your purchase email or your account on extendiment.com.
3. Go to **Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin**, choose the zip, then **Install Now** and **Activate**.
4. Enter your license key under Wholesaleline on the Plugins screen, so updates arrive (see [Licenses and updates](licenses-and-updates)).

Activating changes nothing in your store yet: until you add a customer group, every customer keeps paying your regular prices and checkout works as before. Wholesaleline adds:

- **WooCommerce → Wholesale**, with the **Groups**, **Applications** and **Settings** tabs.
- A **Wholesale** tab on the product screen, and a **Wholesale** section on each customer's profile.
- A **Pay on account** payment method under **WooCommerce → Settings → Payments**, offered only to customers with payment terms.
- A **Wholesale account** page under My Account, where customers apply and later see their payment terms.
- Three emails under **WooCommerce → Settings → Emails**: New wholesale application, Wholesale application approved and Wholesale application declined.

## Your first group

1. Go to **WooCommerce → Wholesale** and click **Add group**.
2. Name it, for example "Trade".
3. Under **Prices**, set **Every product** to **% off the regular price** and enter `20`.
4. Click **Save group**.
5. Go to **Users**, tick a customer, choose **Add to group: Trade** in **Bulk actions** and click **Apply**.

Log in as that customer (or ask them to): every product now costs 20% less, everywhere in the store.
