# Requirements - Supplyline 1.x documentation

> The WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP versions Supplyline needs, and the store setups it works with.

- **WordPress** 6.5 or later (tested up to 7.1)
- **WooCommerce** 8.2 or later (tested up to 11.1), active; WordPress won't activate Supplyline without it
- **PHP** 7.4 or later

## What it works with

- **Simple products and variations.** Each variation can have its own supplier, reorder point and other purchasing fields, or use its product's supplier. Variable products themselves aren't reordered, their variations are.
- **Stock tracking.** Only products and variations with **Track stock quantity** on show up to reorder, and only their stock changes when you receive a purchase order. You can still put other products on a purchase order.
- **High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS)** and the block-based cart and checkout. Supplyline reads orders through WooCommerce's own functions (for the Sold column) and declares itself compatible with both.
- **Who can use it.** Purchase orders and suppliers need the **Edit products** capability, which shop managers and administrators have. A role that can edit only its own products (no **Edit others' products**) sees other people's purchase orders in the list without their totals and can't open them, and only lists, orders and receives the products it can edit.

## How it stores things

Suppliers and purchase orders are private WordPress posts (types `supplyline_supplier` and `supplyline_po`) with their details in post meta. The purchasing fields are product meta. There are no extra database tables, and nothing is sent outside your site.

The **Sold** and **Days left** columns read your recent orders and keep the result for an hour. Changing an order's status refreshes it.

## Other plugins

- **Gridline**, Extendiment's bulk product editor: the purchasing fields are columns there too (hidden until you turn them on).
- **Supplyline Pro**, a separate paid add-on, adds emailing purchase orders, supplier currencies, landed costs, reorder points from sales, several suppliers per product and Stockpool pools.
