# Bulk linking with Gridline - Stockpool 1.x documentation

> Link many products and variations to pools at once in Gridline's bulk editor, with the Shared stock pools column.

With Gridline, Extendiment's bulk product editor, every product and variation has a **Shared stock pools** column (in the Inventory group, hidden until you turn it on in the column picker). It shows and edits the pools linked to that product or variation itself.

## The format

Write each pool's SKU, with how much one item uses after `×` (or `x` or `*`); leave out `× 1`. Separate pools with commas:

| Cell | Means |
|---|---|
| `FAB-NAVY × 1.2` | 1.2 of the pool with SKU FAB-NAVY per item |
| `BLANK-MUG × 2, BOX-KRAFT` | 2 mug blanks and 1 box per item |
| `#12` | 1 of pool 12, for a pool without a SKU |
| *(empty)* | no pools of its own |

An unknown SKU is refused with a message, so a typo never unlinks a product by accident.

## Variations

A variation's cell shows only its own pools. Empty means it uses the variable product's. When you change a variable product's pools, its variations' stock statuses are updated as soon as it's saved.

> [!TIP]
> Give every pool a SKU (on its page, under **Settings**). It makes the column much easier to read and fill in.
