# Installing Slotline Pro - Slotline 1.x documentation

> Upload the Slotline Pro zip, activate it next to Slotline, and enter your license key.

Slotline Pro is an add-on: it adds pickup dates, slot fees, more schedules, preparation times, the Deliveries page, customer changes and reminders to Slotline, which stays installed and keeps doing everything else. You need both.

## Before you start

- **WooCommerce** and **Slotline** 1.0.0 or later, installed and active. If you don't have Slotline yet, install it from **Plugins → Add New Plugin** (search for "Slotline"); see **Installation**.
- The **slotline-pro.zip** file and the **license key** from your purchase email. Both are in the email Lemon Squeezy sent after you bought Slotline Pro.

## Install and activate

1. Go to **Plugins → Add New Plugin** and click **Upload Plugin** at the top.
2. Choose `slotline-pro.zip` and click **Install Now**.
3. Click **Activate Plugin**.

WordPress won't activate Slotline Pro while Slotline or WooCommerce is inactive; it lists what's missing instead. Activate those first.

## Enter your license key

Back on the **Plugins** screen, there's a box under Slotline Pro:

1. Paste the license key from your purchase email.
2. Click **Activate**.

The box turns green and shows the end of your key and, for a yearly license, the date your updates run until. See **Licenses and updates** for moving the key to another site.

> The features work as soon as the plugin is active, with or without a license. The license is what lets WordPress download updates.

## Check it works

Go to **WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → Delivery dates**. Below the Delivery schedule section there's now a **Pickup schedule** section and **More schedules**, the time slots tables have a **Fee** column, and the Customers section has **Changing their time**. In the WooCommerce menu there's a new **Deliveries** page.

> Pickup dates are on as soon as Pro is active: a customer choosing local pickup is asked for a pickup date, with two afternoon-length slots by default. Check the Pickup schedule section before your next pickup order; see **Local pickup**.

## While Slotline Pro isn't active

Its settings stay saved. Slotline offers its delivery schedule only, and as soon as Slotline Pro is active again, your pickup schedule, slot fees, more schedules, preparation times and reminder settings are back, with nothing to re-enter.
