# Adding and duplicating - Sheetline 1.x documentation

> Add new drafts and copy existing posts without leaving the grid.

> [!NOTE]
> This is part of **Sheetline Pro**.

## Add a post

1. Click **Add Post** (or **Add Page**, **Add Case Study**…) next to the screen's title.
2. Type its title and click **Add**.

The new post is a **draft** by you, at the top of the grid, ready to fill in: categories, excerpt, custom fields, date. Set its **Status** to Published (or Scheduled) when it's ready, and write its content in the editor from the row's **Edit** link.

The button is there for people who can create posts of that type.

## Duplicate posts

1. Tick the posts to copy.
2. Click **Duplicate** above the grid.

Each copy is a **draft** by you named "(title) (Copy)", at the top of the grid, with the original's content, excerpt, categories, tags and other terms, custom fields, featured image, parent, order, template and format. The original's edit lock and old addresses stay with the original. Posts you can't edit aren't copied; the notice says how many.

## Neither is in the history

Adding and duplicating aren't saves in **History**, so they can't be undone there. Move unwanted posts to the trash from the post type's list screen.
