# Bulk editing with Gridline - Preorderline 1.x documentation

> Set how customers pay, the deposit and the pre-order limit for many products at once in Gridline's bulk editor.

Gridline is Extendiment's bulk product editor. With Preorderline, it has **Pre-orders** and **Release date** columns. With Preorderline Pro, the same **Pre-orders** group also has:

- **Pre-order payment**: Store default (variations: same as product), Up front, When it's released, or A deposit now, the rest on release.
- **Deposit**: a percentage such as `20%`, an amount such as `25`, or empty for the store's (or the product's, for a variation).
- **Pre-order limit**: a whole number, or empty for no limit.

The **Pre-orders** column also offers **When out of stock**.

The columns are hidden at first: turn them on in **Screen Options** on Gridline's screen.

## Editing

The values mean what they mean on the product's Pre-order tab, with the same checks: a deposit that isn't a percentage or an amount, or a limit that isn't a whole number, isn't saved, and the cell shows why. The rest of your changes save as usual.

Variations have their own rows under their product, so a variation's payment or limit is set the same way.

> To launch a whole collection with deposits, select its products, bulk-set **Pre-orders** to **Not released yet**, **Release date** to the launch day and **Pre-order payment** to the deposit, then save.
