# Requirements - Optionline 1.x documentation

> The WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP versions Optionline needs, and the themes and products it works with.

## Versions

| | Minimum |
|---|---|
| WordPress | 6.5 |
| WooCommerce | 8.2 (tested up to 11.1) |
| PHP | 7.4 |

## Themes and blocks

Optionline puts its fields in WooCommerce's add-to-cart form, so they work with:

- **Classic themes** such as Storefront, which use WooCommerce's product templates.
- **Block themes** such as Twenty Twenty-Five, in the **Add to Cart with Options** and **Add to Cart Form** blocks of the single product template.

The fields use WooCommerce's own form markup (`form-row`, `input-text`), so they pick up your theme's form styles.

The cart, mini cart and checkout show the options in both the **Cart and Checkout blocks** and the classic `[woocommerce_cart]` and `[woocommerce_checkout]` pages.

## Products

Options can be added to **simple** and **variable** products. On a variable product the options are the same for every variation; their prices are added to the price of the variation the customer chooses.

Grouped and external products don't have an Options tab: a grouped product is a list of other products (add options to those), and an external product is bought on another site.

## Other settings

- **HPOS**: Optionline works with WooCommerce's high-performance order storage and with the older posts storage.
- **Taxes**: option prices are entered like your product prices, with or without tax as set in **WooCommerce → Settings → Tax**, and shown the way your store shows prices.
- **Currency**: the live total uses your store's currency symbol, position, separators and number of decimals.
