# FAQ - Labelline 1.x documentation

> Short answers about where labels show, themes, the sale badge, limits, speed, data and Labelline Pro.

## Where do labels show?

On product images in the shop, category and tag pages, product blocks, related products and upsells, and on the product page's main image. Each label can show in lists, on the product page, or both.

## Does it work with block themes?

Yes: in the Product Image block (which Product Collection and the other product blocks use), the older product grid blocks, and the product page's gallery blocks. Classic themes such as Storefront work too.

## Is there a limit on the number of labels?

You can make as many labels as you like. Each product image shows at most the number you set (3 by default, 0 for all of them), so the most important labels win.

## Can a label show only on some products?

Yes, with conditions: on sale, new, featured, stock status, category, tag, chosen products and product type, all or any of them. See **Conditions**.

## Can I use an image or an icon as a label?

With Labelline Pro. Labelline's labels are text on a coloured shape, which reads well at any size and in any language.

## Does a label change when a shopper picks a variation?

No. Labels belong to the product. A variable product's `{discount}` shows the most any variation saves ("up to 30%").

## What happens to WooCommerce's "Sale!" badge?

It's hidden on products that show a Labelline sale label in the same place, so there's one sale badge. You can always show it or always hide it instead. See **Stockline, Discountline and the sale badge**.

## Does it slow my shop down?

No. Labels are loaded once per page, conditions use what WooCommerce has already loaded, and each product's labels are remembered until a label or product changes.

## Does it work with page caching?

Yes. Labels are part of the page's HTML, so cached pages show them. After changing labels, clear the page cache to see the change everywhere.

## What does Labelline Pro add?

Image and icon labels; conditions for price and stock ranges, attributes, best sellers, ratings, sales ending soon, customer roles, shipping classes, dates and days of the week; the `{stock}`, `{sale_ends}`, `{attribute:…}` and `{sales}` placeholders; a product's own label; labels next to the product title and in the cart; and animations. Labelline keeps doing everything else.

## What happens to my labels if I delete Labelline?

When you click **Deactivate**, Labelline asks what should happen to its data if you then delete it. Keep it (the default) and your labels are there if you install Labelline again. Choose **Delete it permanently when the plugin is deleted** to remove the labels and Labelline's settings when you delete it. Your products are never changed.
