# Working with other plugins - Giftline 1.x documentation

> What Giftline does with Packboard, Gridline and Returnline Pro, and how it gets along with coupons, price plugins and product options.

## Extendiment plugins

**Packboard**: an order with printed gift cards gets a "1 gift card to print" tag on its card on the fulfillment board, so the card goes in the parcel. Print it from the order (see [Printed gift cards](printed-gift-cards)).

**Gridline**: the bulk product editor has a **Gift card amounts** column (in the **Gift cards** group, hidden until you show it), to change the amounts of many gift card products at once. Type the amounts separated by commas, as on the product's **Gift card** tab.

**Optionline**: product options are for simple and variable products, so they don't appear on gift cards.

**Returnline Pro**: a return completed with store credit adds it to the customer's store credit balance instead of creating a coupon, with the return number in the balance's history. The order gets a refund to store credit for the amount, as when you refund it to store credit yourself, and for an order placed without an account the credit is kept for its email address (see [Store credit and refunds](store-credit-and-refunds)). The customer sees the credit and their balance in Returnline's "Your return is complete" email and on their return page.

Nothing needs setting up: each of these works as soon as both plugins are active.

## Coupons and prices

- Coupons never discount a gift card product. On a cart with other products, the coupon applies to them as usual.
- Gift cards and store credit pay what's left after coupons, tax and shipping.
- Plugins that change prices (sales, wholesale prices, dynamic pricing) don't change a gift card's amount: a $50 card always costs $50.

## Other plugins for gift cards or store credit

Giftline keeps its own balances. Another gift card or store credit plugin active at the same time would show a second gift card field and keep balances Giftline doesn't know about. To move from one, export its cards and credit to a CSV file and import them under **WooCommerce → Gift cards → Import and export**, keeping the cards' codes (see [Liability report, import and export](liability-report-import-and-export)). Then deactivate the old plugin.

## Developers

Returns, loyalty and support plugins can add or take store credit, issue cards, read balances and refund orders to store credit through Giftline's functions and REST routes, and react to every balance change through its actions. See [Hooks](hooks).
