# FAQ - Folderline 1.x documentation

> Common questions about limits, files on the server, sharing folders, uninstalling and Folderline Pro.

## Is there a limit on folders?

No. The free plugin has no limit on how many folders or how deep they go.

## Does Folderline move files on the server?

No. Folders organise the Media Library; files stay where WordPress put them, so their URLs never change and nothing on your site breaks when you reorganise.

## Can a file be in more than one folder?

No. A file is in one folder at a time, so the tree always tells you where it is.

## Does everyone see the same folders?

Yes. Everyone who can upload files shares the same folders. Each person's panel (open folder, collapsed folders, width) is their own. Folderline Pro adds per-user folders, where each person has their own.

## Does it work with page builders and WooCommerce?

Anything that uses WordPress's media window gets the folder filter, which includes most page builders and WooCommerce's product images. Folderline doesn't need WooCommerce.

## What happens if I deactivate or delete Folderline?

Deactivating keeps everything, and your files are untouched. On **Deactivate**, Folderline asks what should happen to its data if you later delete the plugin: keep it (the default), or delete the folders and settings. Your files are never deleted either way.

## What does Folderline Pro add?

Folders for posts, pages and custom post types (including WooCommerce products), folder colours, per-user folders, downloading a folder as a ZIP, sorting files within a folder, and importing folders from FileBird, Real Media Library, Enhanced Media Library and WP Media Folder. Everything in the free plugin keeps working the same way with or without it.

## I used another folder plugin. Can I keep my folders?

Folderline Pro imports folders and file assignments from FileBird, Real Media Library, Enhanced Media Library and WP Media Folder, even when those plugins are no longer active.
