# Privacy - Bookline 1.x documentation

> What Bookline stores about customers, and how it works with WordPress's export and erase tools.

## What's stored

For each booking: the customer's name, email, phone (if asked), notes, the time zone their device reported, and the service, date, time and status. Plus the booking's history (changes and emails sent). Bookline sets no cookies on your site.

To stop spam, it counts booking attempts per visitor for up to an hour, under a scrambled form of their IP address; the address itself isn't stored.

## Export and erase

Bookline adds its bookings to **Tools → Export Personal Data** and **Tools → Erase Personal Data**, found by the customer's email address.

- **Export** includes every booking with that email: its details, when it was booked and the time zone.
- **Erase** keeps each booking (so your calendar and records stay right) but replaces the name with "Anonymous" and removes the email, phone and notes. Bookline Pro also removes answers to extra questions.

## Your privacy policy

Bookline suggests text for your privacy policy under **Settings → Privacy → Policy Guide**.

## Deleting the plugin

On **Plugins → Deactivate**, Bookline asks whether to keep its data or delete it when the plugin is deleted. Delete removes every booking, the services and the settings.
