# Hiding plugins - Adminline 1.x documentation

> Keep plugins off the Plugins screen for everyone but administrators.

> [!NOTE]
> This is part of **Adminline Pro**.

If people other than administrators can open the Plugins screen (for example, a client role you gave the right to manage plugins), you can keep some plugins out of their list, so they aren't deactivated by mistake.

On **Settings → Admin Menu → Client mode**, under **Plugins list**:

- **Adminline**: tick **Hide Adminline and Adminline Pro** to keep both out of the list.
- **Other plugins**: tick the plugins to keep out of the list.

Click **Save Changes**.

The plugins keep running; they're only left out of the list for everyone who can't manage options. Administrators always see every plugin, so you can't lose track of one.

> [!NOTE]
> Hiding a plugin from the list doesn't stop someone who is allowed to manage plugins from doing so in other ways (WP-CLI, for example). To take that ability away, change their role's capabilities with a role editor.
